About Us

Our family dates back 8 generations to the early California Spanish days in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo County. A former family ranch still has a Mission variety grape arbor that dates back to the 19th century when winemaking was a necessity since there were no wine shops or stores to purchase the family's wine such as they had enjoyed in Spain. Today Dana and Marsha Merrill and son Matthew farm the vineyards, while Matthew's winemaking is supported by winemaker par excellent, Kevin Riley.

Our wines come from our estate vineyards near Templeton in the Paso Robles appellation, as well as from select high quality regional vineyards that we manage with our sister company, Mesa Vineyard Management, Inc. After years of supplying grapes to top brands, large and small, in California we are proud to produce wines under our own label now.
