This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon made entirely from
Estate Grown grapes. This wine again exemplifies what
ideal soils and climate can do. Warm days are needed for
Cabernet Sauvignon, but the cool nights and accelerated
cooling in the afternoons from the Templeton Gap breezes
are what make this complex wine really shine.

This is the first vintage where Kevin Riley, accomplished
winemaker, worked with owner Matt Merrill for a full
season. The results are impressive.

Complex blackberry, black pepper and anise overtones
with good tannin structure are prevalent descriptors of this
wine. The traditional softness to the palette is evident, a
signature characteristic of Pomar Junction reds.
